Transparency in Electronic Device Imports

At OnlyRetro, we believe in complete transparency about our products and import processes. Here's what you need to know about the electronic devices and accessories we sell:

Import and Regulatory Status

Product Origin: Our electronic devices and Apple Watch accessories are imported directly from manufacturer partners in China through our logistics partner, Buffalo International.

ICASA Compliance Status: We want to be completely transparent - our imported electronic devices do not currently hold individual ICASA (Independent Communications Authority of South Africa) type approval certificates. However:

• All devices are imported through proper customs channels with full duty payment.
• We hold the necessary import licenses for electronic goods
• Products comply with international safety standards (CE, FCC where applicable)
• All wireless devices operate on globally accepted frequency bands

Customer Responsibility

Important Notice: While we ensure proper importation and safety compliance, customers should be aware that:

• Some electronic devices with wireless capabilities may require ICASA approval for commercial use in South Africa
• Personal use of imported electronic devices is generally permitted
• For commercial or business use, customers may need to verify ICASA requirements
• We recommend checking with ICASA directly for specific commercial use requirements

Our Commitment to Quality

Despite not having individual ICASA certificates, we ensure:

• All products meet international safety standards
• Proper customs declaration and duty payment
• 6-month warranty on all electronic devices
• Full customer support for any issues
• Transparent return and refund policies

Product Categories Affected

This disclosure applies to:

• Apple Watch charging docks with wireless capabilities
• Smart watch accessories with electronic components
• Any device with radio frequency transmission
• Electronic accessories with Bluetooth or WiFi connectivity
• Wireless charging devices

Note: Most of our Apple Watch bands are passive accessories (leather, metal straps) that do not contain electronic components and are not subject to ICASA requirements.
